An independent highways and transport planning consultancy is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join their growing team of seven in central London. If you have UK consultancy experience and are looking to work on diverse projects across various sectors—residential, employment, retail, and education—this role is for you! Projects range from small-scale developments (a few residential units) to large industrial estates, with clients spanning from blue-chip companies to niche developers.


Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and preparing Transport Assessments/Statements, Travel Plans, Delivery & Servicing Plans, and Construction Logistics Plans to support planning applications.
• Overseeing technical work such as feasibility analysis, transport design, data analysis, and traffic modelling.
• Mentoring and supporting junior staff in their professional growth.
• Developing transport and highway solutions, including mitigation strategies.
• Collaborating with clients, architects, project managers, and town planners to deliver effective transport strategies.
• Assisting with business development to support the company’s growth.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in a UK-based transport planning role.
• Strong understanding of planning and transport policies, design standards, and industry guidelines.
• Ability to use and interpret data from transport software such as TRICS, LINSIG, ARCADY, and PICADY.
