Community Safety Lead

Job Title: Community Safety Lead
Location: Hybrid (minimum 1 day per week in Hemel Hempstead office)
Rate: £30 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: Interim

We are currently seeking an experienced Community Safety Lead to join our team on an interim basis, providing cover during a period of maternity leave.

This is a hybrid role, with an expectation to attend the Hemel Hempstead office at least once per week, alongside remote working.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the delivery of community safety initiatives and interventions
• Manage and support a small team of 2 Community Safety Officers
• Work collaboratively with internal departments and external partners (e.g. police, local authorities, support agencies)
• Address anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases and complex community issues
• Develop and implement strategies to improve community safety and wellbeing
• Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and legislation
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior stakeholders

About You:

• Proven experience within community safety, housing, or a similar field
• Experience managing or supervising staff
• Strong knowledge of ASB case management and relevant legislation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and adaptable approach to a hybrid working environment
