Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate English Teacher to join a welcoming and well-led secondary school in Redditch, Worcestershire. Starting in September 2025, this long-term role is ideal for a teacher who can inspire a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering engaging English lessons that challenge and motivate pupils of all abilities. From Shakespeare to modern texts, your teaching will support students in developing strong literacy skills, analytical thinking, and a confident written voice. You’ll also play a key role in assessment, feedback, and curriculum development alongside a committed English department.
The Candidate
We’re looking for a confident and reflective English specialist who:
Holds QTS (applications from ECTs are welcomed)
Has experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
Can deliver inclusive, creative lessons that link to real-world contexts
Is committed to high standards of literacy, behaviour, and academic progress
Works well as part of a team and values collaborative planning
