The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ECT to teach Geography in a state-of-the-art, well-resourced Humanities Department. You will have the responsibility of teaching Geography at both Key Stage 3 and 4, designing engaging lessons, and supporting students in understanding the importance of geography in their everyday lives. As part of a large department, you will work alongside experienced colleagues who are committed to delivering high-quality education and achieving excellent results.
 
The Candidate
The school is looking for a motivated and dedicated ECT who is passionate about Geography and enthusiastic about inspiring students. The ideal candidate will have:
  • A degree in Geography and QTS (or be on track to achieve it by September 2025)
  • A good understanding of the Geography curriculum for Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to make the subject engaging and accessible to all students

  • Professional development opportunities: Workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance your teaching skills
  • Workload management strategies: Guidance on lesson planning, marking, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance
