Graduate Teaching Assistant
 
Could you help younger pupils build confidence in the classroom and make stronger academic progress? Are you looking for a primary school role that gives you valuable KS1 experience before moving into teacher training?

*** 1:1 and small group support across KS1
 
The Role:
Work closely with KS1 pupils through a mix of 1:1 support and small group intervention. You will help children strengthen early reading, phonics, writing, and number skills, reinforce class learning, support pupils who need extra guidance, and work alongside the class teacher to help pupils stay engaged and make progress.
 
The Candidate:
You are patient, positive, and able to explain ideas clearly to younger pupils. You want meaningful school-based experience, enjoy helping children develop confidence in their learning, and are keen to build the classroom skills needed for a future in teaching.
 
Requirements
  • Degree – A 2:2 or above in a creative subject.
  • Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
  • Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • Career Goals – A desire to train as a teacher and build a long-term career in education.
