Role Overview:
They are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Electrical Engineer with a strong electrical bias to ensure the smooth running of their food manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of electrical systems 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out electrical maintenance on food production machinery
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults on control panels, PLC systems, motors, and other electrical equipment.
  • Install, upgrade, and commission electrical systems and machinery to support our manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure compliance with UK electrical safety standards, food industry regulations, and health & safety protocols.
  • Support the implementation of automation systems, energy-saving initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with production teams to reduce downtime and improve the overall efficiency of food production.
  • Keep accurate records of electrical work carried out, inspections, and any necessary testing.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and offer solutions to prevent future issues and enhance system reliability.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer or Multi-Skilled Engineer within a UK food manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of food production machinery, including conveyors, mixers, and packaging lines.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, control panels, and fault-finding.
  • City & Guilds Level 3 or higher in electrical engineering. Ideally multi-skilled
  • A solid understanding of food industry standards such as HACCP, BRC, and UK health & safety regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
