Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Hayes - September Start 
Pertemps Education is working in partnership with a three-form entry primary school in Hayes, which is looking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large, supportive team where collaboration and professional development are prioritised. 
 
Location: Hayes 
Start Date: September 2025 
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary 
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience + Outer London Allowance 
 
About the Role: 

• Provide high-level classroom support across Key Stages 1 and 2 

• Deliver pre-planned lessons and interventions in the absence of the class teacher 

• Lead small group and individual learning sessions to support pupil progress 

• Assist with planning and assessment alongside teaching staff 

• Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment 

• Support pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND 

• Work collaboratively with class teachers and other support staff 

• Participate in staff meetings, training, and whole-school events 

 
The Ideal Candidate Will: 

• Hold HLTA status or an equivalent recognised qualification 

• Have substantial experience working in a UK primary school 

• Be confident delivering lessons and leading class activities independently 

• Show strong behaviour management and interpersonal skills 

• Be committed, enthusiastic, and flexible in their approach 

• Demonstrate a passion for supporting children’s learning and development
