SEN Teacher – Suffolk – Summer Term Start 
Pertemps Education is seeking a passionate and resilient SEN Teacher to join a dedicated specialist provision in Suffolk that supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable learners in a highly supportive and structured setting. 
 
Pay: M1 – UPS3 (Dependent on Experience) 
Location: Suffolk 
Start Date: Summer Term

About the Role: 
This specialist SEMH provision provides a nurturing, trauma-informed environment for children who require additional support with their emotional regulation, behaviour, and mental health. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering personalised, therapeutic teaching that helps pupils re-engage with learning and make meaningful progress. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the academic and emotional needs of pupils with SEMH 
  • Create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment using consistent behaviour strategies 
  • Differentiate the curriculum to suit pupils with a range of learning profiles, including those with additional SEN such as ASD or ADHD 
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and wider pastoral teams 
  • Monitor and assess individual progress, setting achievable targets and reporting outcomes 
  • Contribute to EHCP reviews, multi-agency meetings, and the development of individual behaviour support plans 
  • Promote emotional regulation, resilience, and positive relationships through daily routines and interactions 
 
Candidate Requirements: 
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent 
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEMH, behavioural challenges, or other complex SEN 
  • A trauma-informed, restorative approach to behaviour and classroom management 
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and reflective practice skills 
  • Resilience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for supporting children who may have experienced adversity
