Job Description
Are you a Science Teacher who thrives on helping students overcome barriers to learning? An alternative provision in Wolverhampton is looking for a dedicated Science Teacher to join their team, delivering engaging lessons to small groups of Key Stage 3 and 4 students. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about making science accessible and inspiring to young people who may have struggled in mainstream education.
As a Science Teacher in this setting, you will plan and deliver creative lessons that encourage curiosity and progress, while also supporting students to develop confidence in their learning. Classes are small, behaviour can sometimes be challenging, but you will benefit from the support of a strong leadership team and a dedicated pastoral staff. This role requires excellent classroom management skills and the ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of individual learners. The school has excellent laboratory facilities, and as a Science Teacher you will have access to an abundance of fantastic resources. This role requires a QTS Science Teacher.
Job role:
- Teaching Science to small groups of Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire and motivate.
- Supporting students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours.
- Working closely with teaching assistants and pastoral staff to ensure progress.
- Encouraging students to develop resilience, confidence, and a love of learning.
