Job Description
As a Teaching Assistant at this vibrant special school, you will be supporting children with Autism, MLD, Down Syndrome and complex needs on a 1-2-1 and small group basis. You will be supporting a class of no more than 7 children and will be working closely with an experienced team of teachers and teaching assistants. This is a long-term opportunity for a Level 2/3 qualified teaching assistant who is looking to make a difference.
Job Role:
- Supporting children with special educational needs including autism, MLD, complex needs and communication impairments.
- Collaborating with a team of teaching assistants to ensure that every child receives the right support.
- Planning and delivering small group activities / interventions.
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons hat meet the needs of pupils.
- Responsibility for classroom management and ensuring appropriate safeguarding procedures are followed.
- Support from an outstanding leadership team, SENCo and TA team.
- A long-term opportunity for a qualified Teaching Assistant.
