Are you an experienced Maths Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity in a specialist setting? This excellent SEMH school in South Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to join their team, teaching small groups of students up to GCSE level. With a strong pastoral team and supportive leadership, this school provides a nurturing environment where students can thrive academically and personally.

This role requires a resilient and adaptable teacher with strong behaviour management skills who can engage young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will deliver a creative and differentiated curriculum, ensuring all pupils develop confidence in their mathematical abilities. With small class sizes and excellent support from teaching assistants, you will have the opportunity to build strong relationships and make a lasting impact. This role requires a QTS Maths teacher who has ideally taught in an SEMH school or Alternative Provision previously.
Job Role:

• Teaching Maths to small groups of Key Stage 3 and 4 students up to GCSE level.
• Adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
• Managing behaviour effectively and fostering a positive learning environment.
• Working closely with the pastoral team to support social and emotional development.
• Encouraging engagement and confidence in Maths through creative teaching strategies.
