Job Description

Special Needs Teacher required for Ofsted “Good” special school with brilliant facilities and a supportive team. Are you an experienced Special Needs Teacher with a passion for teaching children with additional needs? This wonderful SEN school is looking to add a specialist Special Needs Teacher to the team to teach a small Key Stage 3 class of students with complex learning needs. The class is working at a KS2 level, and the school is happy to consider a teacher from either a primary or secondary background.

As a Special Needs Teacher at this school, you will be joining a highly experienced team of SEND Teachers and support staff who are committed to ensuring every child has access to an excellent education. Job Role:
  • Teaching small classes of Key Stage 3 Students with Special Educational Needs.
  • Planning and delivering lessons to meet the need of individual students.
  • Liaising with the SENCO and TA’s to ensure children are supported appropriately.
  • Making school a nurturing, welcoming and safe place for students.
  • Helping young people to break down academic and social barriers.
