Hello there! I'm looking for a Transport First Line Manager to take the helm of daily transport operations!
In this pivotal role, you will lead a dynamic team to achieve excellence and drive success throughout our transport network. Join in and be a key player in shaping the future of logistics!

Working hours: 8pm - 4am
 
Salary: £34,000 - £35,000k - This will be paid weekly as you will be on a 12 month temporary assignment. Monthly pay can also be chosen upon registration (Whichever suits you best) 

This will lead to a permanent opportunity for the right person. 

Key Role Details: 

• Assisting with the running the day to day transport and operation for Normanton Automotive, ensuring that all routes are complete each morning and have returned to site. Ensure drivers are legal and compliant on a daily and weekly basis and ensure clear communication between all functions within the transport team.

• To lead the work activities of the drivers, providing effective leadership, communication, motivation, training and development. Carry out investigations and DP hearings up to the level of written warning.
• To carry out staff reviews and appraisals & provide cover for the transport team where required.

Key Tasks, Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
• Ensure operational service levels are met and exceeded through the achievement of operational KPI's
• Effective team management to deliver effective operations ensuring the delivery of the transport plan
• Enforce and ensure adherence to Health and Safety policy / processes
• Enforce and ensure adherence to company policies and processes
• Process paperwork and operate IT systems as required
• Accountable for delivering a high quality, customer focussed service
• Accountable for achieving site and departmental KPI's
• Effectively manage defect reporting procedure
• Monitor and correct driving styles within the driver teams

Divisional Experience:
• Previous experience of working within a supply chain transport environment  

Functional Experience:
• Previous experience of working within a transport environment
• Previous experience of working within a Team Management / Supervisory role (desirable)
• Building and developing teams 
• Vehicle and driver planning 
• Working as part of a team / own initiative
• Full understanding of EU drivers hours regulations
• Full understanding of Road Transport Directive Legislation
• Good understanding of fleet comnpliance 
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
