Role Overview:
Pertemps is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team. The role involves triaging referrals, making MASH enquiries, and assessing risk to determine the appropriate level of intervention. This is a dynamic, office-based role requiring quick decision-making, strong analytical skills, and excellent multi-agency collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Triaging referrals to assess risk and determine the appropriate level of intervention.
• Conducting MASH enquiries, including speaking with parents and professionals.
• Making threshold recommendations to determine if statutory assessment is required.
• Providing guidance and direction to MASH Officers (call handlers).
• No home visits – all work is office-based.
• Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partner agencies.

Key Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Experience in child protection, safeguarding, and MASH processes. Previous MASH experience required.
• Ability to make quick, informed decisions based on risk assessment.
• Strong understanding of Children’s Social Care thresholds and statutory requirements.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with multiple agencies.
