Case Maker/Packer

our client is an established manufacturer of bespoke wooden shipping containers. With a reputation second to none, they can design and build containers to transport anything from fine arts, painting, sculptures etc to high value specialist machinery or any other precious, high value item.

They are looking for reliable, capable team members to work at any of their three sites in the northern home counties.

Based out of either Stanstead, Newmarket or Royston, you will be part of a busy team, taking drawings, measuring and cutting out the wooden panels to size, cutting any internal foam padding to shape and assembling with basic bench tools.

Once built, there will be instances where you will then take the boxes to client premises, package up the item securely and even arrange for third party collection and delivery as part of the service.

Skills required for this role will incorporate

Good practical skills (carpenter, plumber, floor layer, plasterer etc)
Comfortable working with power tools, nail guns and table saws
Working to high standards of finish and quality
Presentable and personable manner with excellent client facing skills.
Ability to work in a physical environment where lifting of wooden sheets is a daily requirement.

Ideally you will also have a full, UK riving license
Experience of operating a forklift.
