Sheridan Maine is delighted to partner with a fast-growing business in Houston, Texas, to recruit a talented and experienced Senior Financial Reporting Manager. This is a pivotal leadership role, contributing to the company's continued expansion and success. With a primarily remote working model, the successful candidate will occasionally attend the office to oversee and support the team.
 
Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Reporting Manager will include:
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of client information.
  • Review general ledger activity for proper coding, completeness, and financial integrity.
  • Provide monthly Management Reporting Packages and engage in regular client meetings to discuss financial results, special projects, and ongoing deliverables.
  • Build and nurture professional networks to drive business growth and generate new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic accounting and sales plans, updating them throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
  • Mentor and lead a team of managers and accounting staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous development.
  • Manage multiple client engagements, ensuring projects are well-executed, staffed appropriately, and deliverables are timely.
  • Actively participate in business development activities, including involvement in community and professional organizations.
 
The successful Senior Financial Reporting Manager will require:
  • A CPA, CMA, CGMA, or CA qualification.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, advisory services, and client management.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple client engagements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple client demands.
