Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Plymouth (Estover, PL6)
Shifts: Monday – Friday, rotating 6am–2pm & 2pm–10pm
Salary: £38,000 - £47,000 + 8% annual company bonus
Welcome Bonus: £2,500 (paid in your first week’s salary)

About the Role
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, fault-finding and repair of plant equipment, with a strong focus on electrical and automation systems. You’ll play a key role in maintaining uptime and ensuring the smooth operation of production machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform electrical and automation fault diagnosis and repair on production equipment
  • Respond to breakdowns and carry out root cause analysis
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks and inspections
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs
  • Support continuous improvement and lean maintenance practices
  • Provide technical training and support to operators, apprentices, and other team members
  • Assist with Level I & II system troubleshooting, including PLC, HMI and servo control systems

What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Strong skills in automation and PLC fault-finding
  • A proactive, results-driven individual with excellent problem-solving skills
  • HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical / Automation / Multiskilled Engineering or significant industry experience
  • Mechanical knowledge would be an advantage
