Accounts Senior ACA/ACCA/AAT or QBE

This forward-thinking firm provides a comprehensive range of services, including tax advice, accounting, and business consultancy, helping businesses thrive with expert financial guidance. This position offers the opportunity to work with a broad client base, including sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, and charities. Responsibilities include the preparation and auditing of accounts for businesses spanning various industries, such as legal services, engineering, hospitality, and the charity sector.
 
They are now looking for an Accounts Senior/Semi-senior in their Gosforth office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acting as a point of contact for clients, handling adhoc queries.
• Preparing corporation tax computations and addressing related queries.
• Compiling management accounts and VAT returns.
• Finalising accounts after client meetings and making necessary adjustments.
• Preparing accounts from various client systems, including Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
• Actioning queries raised by accounts and tax managers regarding accounts and working papers.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be ACA/ACCA/AAT qualified or finalist or be qualified by experience
• Experience preparing year-end accounts for owner-managed SMEs, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Ideally, a minimum of four years' experience in an accounting practice.
• Strong technical knowledge with an up-to-date understanding of current legislation.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero would be advantageous.
• A proactive approach, keen to take on additional responsibilities and suggest business and process improvements.
