Job Description

Tax & Trusts Solicitor (Newly Qualified), Bristol, £60,000+ (DOE) - A new opportunity for an ambitious Newly Qualified Solicitor to join an award-winning Tax and Trusts team. JOB REF: 0020.

THE ROLE:
• Complex succession planning for individuals and family businesses, including the use of trusts, partnerships, family charters, and family investment companies (FICs)
• Inheritance Tax (IHT) and Capital Gains Tax (CGT)
• Preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs) and Wills
• Advising on heritage property relief for both chattels and real property
• Advising trustees on tax matters, structuring, trust management (including TRS and GDPR), and the exercise of their powers
• Handling high-value and complex probates, including APR/BPR and heritage relief claims

SKILLS REQUIRED:
• A genuine interest in tax, trusts and private wealth work
• Excellent analytical, drafting and interpersonal skills
• Evidence of high-quality legal training in private client law
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach
• The ability to manage a complex and varied workload effectively
• Self-motivation, curiosity, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning
