This highly reputable regional firm has an exciting new permanent role for Senior Associate to join the Contested Probate Team within the Litigation Department which is led by a Legal 500 leading individual.

The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years’ PQE of contested probate managing a varied and complex caseload.

THE ROLE:
You will manage a varied case load of contested probate matters, including will challenges, claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, and disputes over estate administration.
You will provide clear, strategic advice to clients with sensitivity and confidence and run matters from start to finish, including issuing proceedings, mediation, and trial preparation where necessary.
You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the Private Client and Dispute Resolution teams and contribute to the growth of the contested probate law practice through business development and networking.
You will build and maintain strong client relationships by offering personalised legal services.
You will support the development and supervision of junior members of the team.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
You will have:
5-8 years’ PQE in contested probate,
Strong technical knowledge of contested probate and trust disputes,
ACTAPS or STEP membership (or working towards it),
Hearing and trial experience (high court),
Proven business development skills and be able to generate your own work,
Supervision experience is advantageous,
A pro-active approach to case management with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities,
The ability to work as part of a team and build effective and trusting relationships with clients and colleagues, and
A strong academic record: LLB 2:1 and above.
