The successful candidate will play a central role in ensuring the smooth operation of HR services, supporting staff, managers, and senior leaders in line with organisational policies and statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities include:
  • DBS and safeguarding checks: Managing all checks required by the College, maintaining trackers, advising managers, liaising with external partners, and ensuring compliance with relevant guidance.
  • Data protection and GDPR compliance: Acting as the HR lead for GDPR, maintaining accurate records, updating policies, and ensuring processes align with legislation and best practice.
  • HR policies and procedures: Maintaining and updating HR policies, supporting their communication across the College, and proposing new policies to enhance HR services.
  • Employee lifecycle support: Providing guidance and administrative support for onboarding, probationary reviews, exit interviews, flexible working requests, and staff briefings.
  • HR administration and reporting: Producing letters, key performance indicators, and management information, and supporting first-line HR queries as needed.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, confident, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Previous experience in a professional membership body, charity, or similar organisation, along with strong knowledge of safeguarding, DBS administration, GDPR, and HR processes.
