Salary: £34,000 to £37,000
Location: Thame
Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays

Pertemps Didcot are recruiting an HGV Class 1 Driver for our established client based over in Thame.

Job Overview:
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an HGV Class 1 Driver with experience of working in a multi drop environment.
Working as an HGV Class 1 Driver you will be a professional delivery driver who will be part of a team working together and aiming high to deliver outstanding customer service every day.

Your role as an HGV Class 1 Driver will include:
Completion of daily pre-use vehicle and auxiliary equipment checks
Driving to clients to deliver and collect goods
Accurate and timely defect reporting
Obtain accurate and timely 'proof of delivery' Using a PDA or documentation in line with the required standard
Legislative compliance, e.g. Tachograph and driving infringements, and including roadside authority checks, accident, near miss and hazard reporting
Adherence to vehicle cleaning programme
Use of pump truck/tail lift, forklifting when required

To be successful, you will require:
Relevant, clean driving Licence
In-date Tachograph and CPC card
Held licence for at least 2 years
1 year of experience in driving an HGV Class 1 vehicle
Customer focused, with flexible approach
Willing to go the extra mile for our customers
