Transport Coordinator

Location: Avonmouth, Bristol
Salary: £16 per hour
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off
 
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Coordinator to join a well-established logistics operation based in Avonmouth. This is a full-time temporary to permanent position within a fast-paced transport environment. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Preparing driver paperwork and coordinating daily transport activity
• Acting as the main point of contact for drivers while on the road
• Communicating effectively with internal teams and operational sites
• Monitoring transport performance and compliance
• Handling calls and emails in a professional manner
• Managing vehicle breakdowns and responding to operational issues
• Supporting safe and efficient delivery operations

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a transport or logistics environment
• Basic working knowledge of transport legislation, including:
  
  • Working Time Directive
  • EU Driver’s Hours
  • Tachograph regulations
• Understanding of Health & Safety and Food Safety standards
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
