Job Description

Fuel Logistics Operator (6am – 6pm, 4 on 4 off shift pattern)
Location: Tamworth
Are you organised, a good communicator, and ready to be part of a high-energy team? We’re looking for a Fuel Logistics Operator to help keep things running smoothly at our busy Tamworth hub.
You’ll work 4 days on, 4 days off from 6am to 6pm — giving you regular time off to recharge, with weekend shifts on a rotating basis.
About the Role:
As a Fuel Logistics Operator, you’ll be central to the safe and timely delivery of fuel across the UK. You’ll plan routes, coordinate with drivers, solve problems on the go, and ensure our customers are kept in the loop.
No logistics experience? No problem. Full training is provided, so this is a great opportunity to start or grow your career in the logistics sector.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan delivery schedules to ensure fuel arrives safely and on time
  • Communicate with drivers and internal teams to keep operations flowing
  • Handle route changes or delays calmly and efficiently
  • Place fuel orders and double-check loading instructions
  • Share timely updates with colleagues and other departments
  • Answer customer queries and resolve issues professionally
  • Support in emergency situations, such as spills or delivery disruptions
You’ll Enjoy This Role If You:
  • Are confident using Microsoft Office and open to learning new systems
  • Thrive in fast-paced environments with lots of moving parts
  • Can stay calm and think on your feet when things get busy
  • Enjoy problem-solving and helping others
  • Are looking for a role that offers development and long-term career prospects
What We’re Looking For:
  • Strong communication and teamworking skills
  • Solid organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Previous experience in logistics, transport or customer service is helpful, but not essential
  • A basic knowledge of UK geography is a plus
  • Comfortable using Outlook, Word, Teams and Excel – training will be provided
What You’ll Get in Return:
  • Full training and ongoing development
  • Friendly, inclusive team culture
  • Career progression opportunities in a growing industry
  • Modern workspace with free parking
  • Healthy and indulgent snacks, posh coffee and wellness events
Benefits Include:
  • Competitive salary with performance-related pay
  • Private medical insurance, including online GP access
  • Enhanced pension contributions
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Season ticket loan
  • Charity and volunteering days
  • Enhanced holiday allowance (21 days incl. bank holidays)
  • Global multi-trip travel insurance
  • Exclusive discounts through an employee platform
  • Enhanced parental leave
