Job Description
Job Title: Material Controller
Location: Wolverhampton, UK
Salary: £31,000+ per annum (dependent on experience)
Shift: Day shifts, 8:30am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday
I am recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing company based in Wolverhampton. They are looking for a detail oriented and highly motivated Material Controller to join their growing team.
Main Duties:
Inventory Management - Oversee and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained. Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations.
Procurement - Coordinate with suppliers to order materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Logistics Coordination - Manage inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring materials are received and dispatched efficiently.
Quality Control - Inspect and verify the quality of incoming materials and ensure they meet the required specifications.
Record Keeping - Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, orders, deliveries, and production requirements.
Collaboration - Work closely with production and planning teams to ensure material availability aligns with production schedules.
Cost Management - Monitor and control material costs, identifying opportunities for cost-saving without compromising quality.
Compliance - Ensure all material handling and storage activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
