Manual Miller & CNC Operator/Programmer
Birmingham
Up to £19 per hour (depending on experience)
Monday – Thursday | Early Finish Fridays!


A well-established and growing manufacturing company in Birmingham is looking for an experienced Manual Miller to join their skilled engineering team. This role will be approximately 70% manual milling, with the remaining work on CNC machines. Training on CNC can be provided, making this a great opportunity for someone with strong manual machining experience who wants to further develop their CNC skills.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate manual milling machines to produce precision components.
  • Operate and program CNC machines where required.
  • Work from engineering drawings to manufacture parts to tight tolerances.
  • Carry out routine machine maintenance and ensure machines are running efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Skills & Experience Required:
  • Extensive experience operating manual milling machines.
  • Experience with machines such as Colchester lathes, XYZ Pro Turn, or OKUMA (or similar).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • CNC operating/programming experience is advantageous but training can be provided.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
