Job Description

Our client is seeking a skilled NDT Level 2 Inspector to join their quality assurance team. This hands-on role involves conducting Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant inspections to ensure the integrity of high-precision aerospace components. You will be part of a modern, clean, and well-equipped manufacturing environment, working within a company that prioritises safety, quality, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
" Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Perform Magnetic Particle (MPI) and Liquid Penetrant (LPI) inspections in accordance with industry and customer standards
" Defect Identification & Reporting: Accurately interpret test results, identify defects, and generate detailed inspection reports.
" Audit & Compliance: Support Nadcap and customer audits, ensuring adherence to aerospace industry regulations.
" Equipment Calibration & Control Checks: Arrange the calibration and maintenance of NDT equipment and record control check results.
" Process & Quality Compliance: Work within Nadcap prime specifications, following strict aerospace quality standards.
" Continuous Improvement: Implement Lean Manufacturing principles, supporting process optimisation.
" Self-Certification & Quality Sign-Off: Following a qualifying period, you will hold a quality stamp and be responsible for self-certifying inspected components.

Experience and Skills Required:
" NDT Level 2 Certification (EN4179) with proven hands-on experience in Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant inspection.
" Minimum of 3 years' experience as an NDT Technician in an aerospace or precision engineering environment.
" Thorough knowledge of aerospace industry standards (e.g., Nadcap, AS9100).
" Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
" Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify defects accurately.
" Ability to work independently, take initiative, and adhere to strict quality and safety standards.

Preferred but not essential:
" A completed Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications.
" Experience in Nital (acid) etch inspection.
