Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands
Salary: £15.00 – £16.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
Hours: Day Shift, Full-Time

Our client, a well-established, family-run engineering firm based in Wolverhampton, are looking to recruit an experienced machinist to join their close-knit team. Specialising in bespoke and batch precision work.

 

The Role:
As a Conventional Machinist, you’ll be working with manual milling machines, lathes, and drilling equipment to manufacture a wide variety of components to tight tolerances. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys a varied workload in a supportive workshop environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate manual milling machines, centre lathes, and pillar drills
  
  
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
  
  
• Work to precision tolerances
  
  
• Inspect components using standard measuring equipment
  
  
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  
  
• Collaborate with the team to meet production deadlines
  
   
  
  

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a manual/conventional machinist
  
  
• Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and tolerances
  
  
• Skilled in setting up and operating milling machines, lathes, and drills
  
  
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  
  
• Positive attitude and team-oriented approach
