Transport Administrator
Telford, Shropshire (Halesfield)

Salary up to £28,000 (Depending on experience)
About the Role:
An established distribution company, due to success and growth we are looking for someone to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient and compliant delivery of products to customers nationwide and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage daily transport schedules for UK and European deliveries
  • Utilise pallet networks effectively to maximise distribution efficiency
  • Liaise with third-party logistics providers, freight forwarders, and hauliers
  • Track shipments and provide regular updates to stakeholders
  • Manage documentation for domestic and international freight, including customs clearance and incoterms
  • Communicate delivery information to warehouse, customer service, and sales teams
  • Maintain accurate transport records, including delivery notes, PODs, and vehicle compliance
  • Ensure adherence to UK and EU transport regulations
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve logistics processes
  • Respond to transport-related queries from customers in a timely and professional manner
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a transport, logistics, or distribution role
  • Strong knowledge of UK transport legislation; EU logistics experience advantageous
  • Familiarity with export processes and customs documentation (especially post-Brexit)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with TMS preferred
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to service excellence
Desirable:
  • Background in automotive or commercial vehicle parts distribution
  • Understanding of incoterms and international freight procedures
  • CPC qualification or relevant NVQ/SVQ in Transport Operations
  • Experience with warehouse and inventory systems
