Assembly Operator
Location: Ryde, Isle of Wight

Salary: £13.45 per hour

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

 
About the Role 
Pertemps Isle of Wight are currently recruiting for an Assembly Operator on behalf of our client based in Ryde. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business, working as part of a busy production team.

 
The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling a range of products in line with technical documentation, ensuring all work meets the required quality standards and production targets.

 
 Key Responsibilities 

• Check kits against Bills of Materials and report any discrepancies

• Ensure all documentation is correct and up to date for each job

• Assemble components in accordance with drawings, work instructions and industry standards

• Complete work within agreed timeframes and raise any delays or issues promptly

• Work towards and maintain relevant inspection or quality standards

• Follow company procedures, including quality and health & safety requirements

• Support continuous improvement by identifying and reporting process issues

• Carry out additional production duties as required and trained

Skills & Experience 
Essential:

• Good manual dexterity

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to follow instructions accurately

Desirable:

• Experience in electronic or mechanical assembly

• Knowledge of PCB manufacturing or sub-assembly techniques

• Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment
